My front shocks are leaking and need to be replaced.
The dealer states that the whole assembly (shock and spring) are what is available. Toyota does not provide shock only.
Does anyone now of a direct replacement for the shocks?

When I was researching, Bilstein offered a direct replacement since they were the OEM on my 2014 TRD. I opted for the whole assembly, much easier to replace if you are DIY.

There's no need to replace the springs if the shocks are leaking - unless you want to. FJs don't have Macpherson struts or some other shock/spring mated unit. You have a choice of shocks and Bilsteins are an excellent choice. If you will be DIYing the install, there's an excellent Youtube video that circumvents the use of spring compressors. If you're paying for the work, seek out an offroad specialist shop in your area. Doubtless cheaper than the dealer, too.
