Canada has the 15 year rule, USA has the 25 year rule. Unless you use the show display 1 year exemption, or are a Diplomat, it will be hard

We have members here in other parts of world with new 2020. If you search, their thread will pop up

I've wondered about this rule.
Does this still apply to vehicles that were previously already available in the USA but discontinued? (Like the FJ)
Since its already been approved for sale in the US, can we just buy a new one and ship it in?

No. The vehicle has to sold in NA for that model year to be imported. If not, its illegal to import.

actually, that is not correct. A vehicle over 25 years old can be imported, regardless of whether it was previously sold here. There are several folks specializing in importing them,

Correct, 25 yrs for the US and 15 yrs for Canada.
The "No" was in reference to the Foreign Buyer Program quoted in the prior post.
Country of Residence is defined by the Passport you carry. Living overseas and purchasing a vehicle there does not mean its an automatic win to bring back.
