So I've called ToyTec to see what they recommend and they said the fit would be 50/50 so I'm here to ask the group. Like I mentioned in the title I just installed the Boss lift kit as well as new Total Chaos upper control arms and will be doing a BMC this weekend. I have the 2013 TTE so now my 265/75/16's look tiny and of course want to upgrade.

Has anyone ran this set up with the 305/70/16 that can help me out? I will probably do wheel spacers to help the stance/center of gravity. Really want to make sure of this purchase because my fingers are hovering order the buy button. My next resort is going one size smaller with the 295 or 285 KO2's.

Thanks fellas ?

You mean fit without doing a BMC? With wheel spacers you will most certainly need a BMC to stop rub when turning on the 305's or 295's.

Also check out the diameters of the 295 vs 305. The 295 is actually taller but a tad skinnier. It'll be a tossup between the 295 and 305 regarding fitment IMO. The 305 might be negligibly easier to fit.

I ran the Toytec with the 285 KO2s but I did have 1.25" spacers and a BMC. No rubbing at all. Now I got 285s in the Cooper STT Pros. I like that tire better and still no rubbing. ;)

Yeah that's good to hear if the 305s dont work out but I'm still really hoping someone can chime in that has ran 305's as they are about an inch wider than the 285s.

The 'looks' problem is because of the fenders. I'd vote to go with the 305s just to have width to try and fill them out.

From what we have seen many times over on here, unless you jump to 35s you are likely going to not love the looks with those fenders.

Yeah, the 305s would fill out the flare more for sure. I would definitely like to see what you end up with. ;)

I don't understand why you want the 305 vs the 295?
do you wheel this? Don't you want the tallest tire you can fit? Your giving up height to get width? if you want your tires to stick out more, maybe get wheel spacers or offset wheels. Can make stuffing them challenging on occasion but if that's your goal.

I know it's not popular but I went with 16" wheels and skinny 33" tires. and a set of spidertrax. a true 33" tire. Have performed well in sand, mud and rocks. Toyo OPen Country M/T..(maximum traction not mud tire).LT255/85R16 (33X10.00R16) 61lbs. Fit with NO BMC.
