Here lately I have noticed some steering bind while in 4hi. When making hard turns, either forward or reverse, the steering starts binding up. It feels like the locker is engaged which it can't be. And no I do not have any of the hacks on my vehicle. One last thing it dosen't seem to matter if the surface is hard or has any slip to it. Any idea's? Thanks in advance!

Mine has been that way from day one (day one being 12K miles on the odometer). Is this not normal?

You should expect binding w/ hard turns. Believe it or not, the wheels travel around different axis, and different radiuses, and thus different speeds. With the center dif locked, it forces them to rotate at the same speed, which causes the binding (or wheel slip if slick traction).

Thanks for the confirmation gents! It is what I expected and I only use 4hi/low when off-road, except for the once a month 10 minute lube run, and I make sure I am on as straight of a stretch of road as possible.

Only time I use it on paved roads is when there is snow/ice and I swing wide in parking lots where I would have to turn hard.
