A/C line in front of grill

I've seen where people have bent these during installations. My question is why did the manufacturer make the line 5 inches away from the heat exchanger?
I need to shorten the bracket in order to make room for the winch clutch lever but I'm wondering why the line is so far away by design.

I'm guessing it's easier to assemble like that. or when they assembling it, they put together the AC system and then later when finishing up the body they bolt on that vertical bar in the middle.

No need to cut the bracket. Removed the bracket and just turn around the white plastic holder. Protect the tube from rubbing against the edge of the lucrum mount by cutting a piece of rubber house.

Actually the problem was clutch handle movement. And this happens to be a Rasta not a Lucrum but no way to know from the pic.
The problem was solved by moving the plastic piece atop the bracket.
thanks for the input.
