Just curious if anyone has replaced their ac compressor?
I sucked mud and water in mine and the bearings are screaming.
I wanna save some money and do it myself then take it to get vaccumed and charged?
Any tips on removal?

well honestly I think both, I know the clutch/pulley for sure but i dont see how the compressor isnt shot too.
I ordered a new assembly so I'll pull the clutch/pulley off first to try but I think I'll end up with the compressor too.
I pullled the clutch/pulley today and repacked the bearing but it was too far gone.

Yes 4x4, what's the hardest part about it? I'm not experienced with ac's. It has 2 lines right? Low pressure? high pressure?
Other than that it just looks like a few bolts holding it on.

A bit OT but is theA/c Compressor on the FJ run off the V Belt or is it run electrically. What I want to know is that if you switch on the ac does it take power / performance off the car or is there no difference in power output of the car with or without a/c.
