Joshua Tree looks awesome, but I want something close (and hopefully easy) as my first off road trip?
I interested to go to Joshua Tree, if I can get a day off.
Cool. Wherever. It won't happen. Let's go to Hawaii. Haiti! Cairo! Just another joke.
Psycho Rancho isn't DeMello's spot. FYI
Jawbone preferred but Too close to Turf'n Surf

Nothing to do as far as off roading in Joshua Tree.
The town, not the park.
I'm down with Jawbone since it's about 45 minutes from my house!

Voted for Joshua Tree because its my bday weekend and close to home, but Jawbone Canyon sounds good too.

From Urban Dictionary.com Just replace "High" with "AllCal"

Is this event still supposed to happen? Noticed the suggested dates are getting a little close...
I was planning on working on it this month and next, but I had someone quit on me with zero notice, and it's thrown everything down the ****ter.

Hey @Basil @m3pedro etc., anyone in California want to help pull this together?

So Jawbone is the easiest, by far. We can basically just show up.

The question is: how much structure does everyone want to have?

We'd be down for any of them as long as it's not until October when it cools off:)

Our spot in Jtree is actually on the edge of Jtree, NOT IN THE PARK. It's actually across the highway from it. There are a ton of easier trails out there. We cut a really hard one a number of years ago but you would need a pretty hard core FJ or truck to get down it. Lots of mines out there, a huge sand hill and pretty open area.

here's a shot from "carnage asada canyon" we made this trail abut 10-13 years ago.

We use to do big events out there on the flats.

Carnage Asada looks pretty gnarly!!! Jawbone is literally in our back yard but Joshua tree looks inviting. We'll be keeping an eye on this, October is doable.
