Hello everyone-
Just bought an 07 FJ 4wd with 40k on the clock...
I have loved these vehicles for a few years now, and finally took the plunge.
I have owned 2 Tacomas in the last 7 years and wanted something different, and this is definitely different! I absolutely love the handling and ride, and after 2 days of it being in my driveway, the parts started to come off to be modded.
I decided to do the bumper corner blackout..pics to follow...
I could not figure out how to get the front bumper completely off, and I know I must have been a gnat's hair away from it coming loose, but when I pulled the front heads, I had enough room to unsnap the clips from the back side and remove them. The rear bumper(to my surprise) was less "crusty" and came out with ease-
Planning Bilsteins to level the front
Various speaker/sound system upgrades(kenwood in dash navi.head unit, etc-)
Dual batteries
I really need a set of those damn cupholder inserts!
window tint
brush guard(maybe)
grille emblem
hid heads
piaa crystal ion fogs
Circuit Boss-by Painless Performance
Some kind of overhead console mod (SwissArmy style)
And whatever else comes along!
Gotta do something with the wheels-the inside edges are "bubbling"-like they were painted and now maybe rusting...(these are the 5spoke factory ones)
Took me the better part of 2 days, and I am more than pleased with the results. I used the "search bar" and found instructions on how to do everything-COULD NOT have done this without the forum-thanks for all the great posts-
here ya go-
At the stealership...

Fronts off...
And this is my favorite...Necessity is the mother of invention....
