I FINALLY got my FJ. I got a deal I couldn't pass up on a TT edition and went for it. I just barely got home. Thanks to my pal BluePete for introducing me to the great forum and helping me through the buying process. I can't wait to go hit some trails with him and his tricked out Voodoo Blue.

I will try to post a picture I took from my camera phone. More pics to come when I get into some good trouble. :bigthumb:

Very nice BamBam. Got your mods lined up? Sweet dreams tonight!
Mods? What mods?! Come on. This baby is for mall trips ONLY.

Just kidding of course. My first mod is a lame one. Passenger arm rest. It should be here tomorrow. My wife is very happy about it though. :)

CONGRATS BUDDY! I think you should take a few hours and type up into one post all the trouble you've had getting an FJ. :silly:

Can't wait to see it in person!

And your 1st mod is cooler than mine. Mine was blind spot mirrors.
I think that story would just be too funny. Maybe I'll type it up this weekend. I am sure a few of you would get a good laugh out of it.

Congrats! Hey, my first mod was a hood protector.:)

I sure would like to know how the TT's were distributed throughout the U.S. If you find out, please let me know.
Enjoy!
I am not sure how they were distributed, I am sure others would know more. It does certainly seem that Utah got more than their fair share however. I know that as of last week there were at least 17 within 35 miles of my house. I think that is what ultimately led to me getting such a good deal.

The salesman was telling me that the dealership had sold one for $3000 over sticker 2 months ago, because that is what the guy offered (he had special ordered and picked up in November), but that they had been going for sticker and slightly below since that time and they weren't moving a lot. They had 2 that were just the same as mine (auto transmission and roof rack) and one more that had a manual transmission as of yesterday.

If anybody wants one let me know. I will put you in touch with the right person. The sales guys I worked with are very FJ knowledgeable and also fully aware that SUV sales are flat and are willing to negotiate. They will e-mail you a price quote and negotiate through e-mail.

Now I just need to find a tow hitch kit and also figure out what color of black I need to make the little plate match the rest of the bumper. Anybody know off the top of their head?
