I think you would be better mounting it on the rear of the FJ. I don't think the front fenders would like the frame flex even with a custom front hitch mount.

I think amaintaylor is right. This seems like a good way to increase you chances of joining the fender bulge club if mounted on the front. Besides, at $999.00 this seems a little steep.

For a grand, I'd sooner put that into a decent snow blower. I think this thing would be nothing but a troublesome annoyance.

I had one when I lived in North Dakota. Pushed a lot of snow with it. I mounted it on the rear of my F-250. Definitely a worthy investment for me, with the multiple blizzards we had in '07/'08. It is tough, but you can tweak it if you get aggressive with it.
