I have a couple of clients that are in a MLM scheme selling the stuff. The local Fox news affiliate here did a test a few weeks ago of a couple of gas additives. Surprisingly they worked to some extent. Giving a 10% or so gain. I was curious if anyone had actually tried this particular Syntec gas additive. I have a hard time believing anything that comes from a MLM network but my curiosity is piqued. They gave me many samples but I don't really want to dump an ounce of miracle goo in my tank without knowing more about it

This is about all I could find on a Google search. If it's the same one in the article it looks like it may be a bust. DEWFPO

won't the cost of the additive cancel any savings.
More often than not it does. It depends on the mpg gain you get (if any), the cost of fuel and the number of gallons it treats (cost of additive per gallon).

I'm just thinking, 10 gallons $40, 10% savings $4, cost of additive $5. I lose a dollar by doing it. Now if it is free then it might be worth it.
