But you should still be able to get a deal. I have talked to another co-worker who is in the process of buying a Tacoma 2009 TRD Off Road pkg. He said he's got 5 dealers talking to him on email and all of them are working with him to get his business. He hasn't even stepped foot into the dealership yet and he's getting some good numbers. At least $4000 off sticker he said. Granted I do not know the exact details.

Another co-worker just bought a 09 Tacoma SR5 at about $5000 off sticker but it was the last one on the lot.

Now I am unsure how the FJs fair with their pickups but I'd assume they'd be willing to play. But honestly the dealership near me no longer stock FJs. They told me they can get them in but will only do it on a per order basis. In general the dealers are all hurting right now.

I will say this, you want a Chevy Silverado? You can get a great deal on one of those right now. Its pretty sad.

As of April 1st, there are only 14 FJ Cruisers left in all of the SouthEast Toyota region. 13 are '08's and 1 is an '09. From what I have heard, the production on the FJ, along with some other models, has been suspended, but I have also heard there are supposedly several '09's at the port. These will not be available for sale until EVERY '08 is sold, which should be any day now.

When I bought mine, I was told that there were no dealer incentives due to Toyota deeming the FJ a "limited production vehicle." Just my $.02.

I can imagine Dealers collecting the Dealer incentives for the lot vehicles before April because they have to move them anyways.. Right?

I bought my '08 on 03/20 and it was the last one the dealer had. There are very few in the Gulf region but I did get the rebate. I looked at my paperwork and my FJ was on the ship in April of '08 and has been around a year.

The NW has 1000 on remaining 2008's and that is it.. This is the start of a whole new Automotive world. Less inventory and less incentives from the manafactures.. All of them. Even Doomed Chrysler and GMC..

Toyota has cut 4Million out of the US production for the calander year 2009. This means the deals will be harder and harder to get and the year progresses along.. If you are thinking of getting any Toyota, do so ASAP.. Or you might just not be able to get one, at a decent deal at all...

Just my .02, it is how Toyota used to be, back in the 90's and early 2000's

Mello I believe it. I know there are only two Sandstorms left as of 3/28 in the SouthEast Toyota region. Both were '08 that had been heavily pre-modded. I tracked them down last week. My local dealer told me I could not get a Sandstorm 4x4 automatic. I told him the fact was he could not get the vehicle but I could. Located several outside of the region and drove 3.5 hours to get it on Tuesday in Tennessee. Got a better deal than SouthEast can give as well. I have a spreadsheet of all the Sandstorms within relatively easy driving distance. I do feel a little better since I went ahead and pulled the trigger though.

i stopped by the dealer near me just to chat it up with a sales guy. this guy told me the FJ has no demand. Said that his manager refuses to bring one in because of lack of interest. They had 1 that sat on the lot for a long time. They sent that off to another dealer.

What he did tell me was the Tundra is another truck that sells poorly. They had 2 but sold them at pretty low prices. So if anyone you know is interested in a Tundra they will get a good deal this month. He said at least $4k off sticker if you can find one. Those are also scarce right now. Toyo is worried demand is exceeding supply.

Tacoma seems to be an ok seller believe it or not. So he told me if I know anyone that wants one that they will try to do the best they can with the price.

But you know its bad when 1/2 your friends have all been laid off from good jobs. Just not a good time...

Although I have been looking and learning with THE site for a couple of months now,(and it is proving to be an excellent learning tool), I am now going for my 1st post, for what it's worth. I just returned yesterday from Nashville(Beaman Toyota) with my new 08 TiMet FJ. This is my 1st experience with an FJ, and I've got to say that I am truly impressed. Drove it back to SW Wis.(720 mi.), and liked it more each mile. Anyway, the purpose of this post is to let others know the details of the deal. It's a manual( which for me is mandatory no matter what the vehicle) which made it pretty tough to find. Beaman's came through with the exact truck I wanted( silver, MT, CQ, UR, and the all-weather mats; that's it). This listed for $29,145 and I bought it for $24,466. I did everything short of circus tricks to get the price lower, but that was all she wrote. I'm thinkin' I got a + deal. And happiness prevails.
On to chapter two; building it into what I want, with the banked knowledge of this excellent resource, and some cash! I really hope that this site will live on for many moons. RIVER RAT

RiverR, i think u did good on that price! Like I've said I bought mine at the worst time. When they were selling a little bit ABOVE sticker at times. I got NO deal NO NOTHING.

I think this entire year is a good year to buy a Toyota for anyone interested and anyone that can afford it. Especially their trucks (FJ, Tacoma, Tundra). I keep hearing all these insane "deals" people are getting when buying a Tundra or Tacoma (not so much FJs except for on this site). $4k off and 0% 5yrs on a 2008 Tundra? Not even sure how this guy qualified for 0% because normally its just a way to get someone into the showroom...

But the flip side is I know so many people out of a job right now. Hence why no one is buying high ticket items. But if you can now is the time to get an FJ or Truck...

Hey Cruiser Nuts, Waite Toyota in Watertown NY has 1 2009 Vohdoo loaded, 1 2008 Sandstorm nicely loaded, and a 2007 Silver used. I know it may be a far ride for some but this guy makes sales happen. A small family owned Toyota not trying to recover from a poor economy on FJ Nuts. Call Justin and tell him the Doccruz sent ya. PS there is some dealer cash plus he will go below sticker.

Congrats and welcome to the forum.

Fabulous deal and a great dealership. I assume you used the internet department? :)

(I worked for them for over 4 years)

We have another forum member (Spongebob) that's an assistant service manager there.

My local dealer no longer has any 08's and they do not have any 09's either. My salesman said they can't get any because they did not move enough of them in the first place. They only sold a total of (9) 07's and 08's together. He said he's not sure if they will ever get another FJ unless it is ordered and a sizeable downpayment made up front.
