It's official. There are no customer cash rebates or special financing rates for FJ Cruisers for the Month of April. There is only a small "dealer cash" incentive.
Now I am unsure how the FJs fair with their pickups but I'd assume they'd be willing to play. But honestly the dealership near me no longer stock FJs. They told me they can get them in but will only do it on a per order basis. In general the dealers are all hurting right now.
Mello I believe it. I know there are only two Sandstorms left as of 3/28 in the SouthEast Toyota region. Both were '08 that had been heavily pre-modded. I tracked them down last week. My local dealer told me I could not get a Sandstorm 4x4 automatic. I told him the fact was he could not get the vehicle but I could. Located several outside of the region and drove 3.5 hours to get it on Tuesday in Tennessee. Got a better deal than SouthEast can give as well. I have a spreadsheet of all the Sandstorms within relatively easy driving distance. I do feel a little better since I went ahead and pulled the trigger though. As of April 1st, there are only 14 FJ Cruisers left in all of the SouthEast Toyota region. 13 are '08's and 1 is an '09. From what I have heard, the production on the FJ, along with some other models, has been suspended, but I have also heard there are supposedly several '09's at the port. These will not be available for sale until EVERY '08 is sold, which should be any day now.
Congrats and welcome to the forum.Although I have been looking and learning with THE site for a couple of months now,(and it is proving to be an excellent learning tool), I am now going for my 1st post, for what it's worth. I just returned yesterday from Nashville(Beaman Toyota) with my new 08 TiMet FJ. This is my 1st experience with an FJ, and I've got to say that I am truly impressed. Drove it back to SW Wis.(720 mi.), and liked it more each mile. Anyway, the purpose of this post is to let others know the details of the deal. It's a manual( which for me is mandatory no matter what the vehicle) which made it pretty tough to find. Beaman's came through with the exact truck I wanted( silver, MT, CQ, UR, and the all-weather mats; that's it). This listed for $29,145 and I bought it for $24,466. I did everything short of circus tricks to get the price lower, but that was all she wrote. I'm thinkin' I got a + deal. And happiness prevails.
On to chapter two; building it into what I want, with the banked knowledge of this excellent resource, and some cash! I really hope that this site will live on for many moons. RIVER RAT
