This is my 2008 MT FJ, "Fred Johnson" (From the Expanse)
Prompt asked for "current state." Current state (last 24 hours) is "covered in mud"

Mods/Features:
  • Front Facing Thermal Camera
  • Fold Down Monitor on Driver's Sunvisor
  • Iron Man 3" Lift w/ forged UCAs
  • Nitto 285 70 r 17 ridge grapplers
  • Sunroof
  • Tire Pressure Monitoring Display
  • Additional Offroad Lighting
  • Rockmen Pro Trailing Arms with OPOR skids
  • Rear Backup Camera Added
  • CB and HAM radios
  • SCUBA Breather mod
  • Pedal Commander
  • 1/2" steel "skid plate" under engine (Ricochet Skids on Order)
  • Orange Boxx Sliders on order

Favorite Aspect of the Vehicle: I'm a really tall guy, so I love that I actually have legroom in the driver's seat. It's a brand new experience for me since I've got the vehicle and I can't get enough of it.

Favorite/Most Terrifying Story: I got suckered into going into a "two hour" trailing expedition in January when we got to the top of the mountain and found everything covered in 6" of ice an no way to turn around. There were jeeps spinning out all over the place, and the "two hours" turned into "ten hours at 2mph" but my FJ never slipped significantly and never hit anything I didn't want it to go over, so props for Toyota Traction Control!

This is my 09 FJC with 170k miles named Rocinante or "Roci" for short (Also from the Expanse) My Fiancé and I couldn't decide on a good name, I got her to read The Expanse books and she just started calling it Roci, so it stuck.

Mods:

-16" Method 701 Bronze wheels with General Grabber AT 315/75R16
-Toytec Boss 2.0 Aluma Series Coilovers
-Icon Delta Tubular Upper Control Arms
-8.2 swap from 2010 FJC with Electronic locker
-4.88 Yukon gears
-ARB Air Locker in the front
-Eimkeith Panhard bar relocation kit
-Metaltech 4X4 HD Long Travel suspension in the rear
-Metaltech 4X4 Rear Lower Links
-Metaltech4X4 Rear Upper Links
-Pure FJ Cruiser extended brake lines
-Radflo 2.0 Shocks in the rear
-Custom made Bumpstop spacers
-Custom made front skid plate (just took off to replace LCA's tonight)
-Shrockworks Rock Sliders
-Demello Offroad Aluminum front bumper
-Smittybilt X20 Winch
-Baja Designs Wide Cornering LED's
-Custom made Platform in the rear compartment (seats removed)
-Frontrunner Slimline 2 Roof rack

Favorite Aspect of the vehicle:
I'm not sure that there is really one thing I can point to, but I will say this. I love how I can go rock crawling with friends and beat the hell out of the vehicle and it will still get me home after that. The first time I took it out was Camp 5 trail South Dakota, we did the access trail to Hal John's (which we thought was the hard trail LOL) It took us 5 hours to complete I was completely stressed the entire time. I was on 33's at the time, and the whole time I underestimated the Roci. After the trip it blew me away at how capable the FJ is, now I want more stress, more rocks and more good times!

Thanks.

I'll play,
1159936

1159937

1159944

She is an 07 6 speed manual, diff lock, a-trac, subwoofer, rear power outlet, all the good stuff.
What i remember so far...
Metaltech tube front bumper
JBA upper control arms
Ricochet front skid( via Wikid)
Pure FJ sliders
Urd fuel pump
Cluthchmasters throw out bearing
Fuel 17x8.5 wheels
285 70 17 BFG ko2
Bilstein 6100 5160
Ironman rear spacers
LED lighting
PIAA fog lights and headlamps
ARB compressor mounted under hood
Coming soon... iconic rear recovery points
A kayak, if that counts.
I only got it because of my FJ

My favorite aspect/feature is the ability to take any road/trail to see where it goes. Road trips will never be the same. I've had her 2 years this month, and she's earned all those stickers plus some I'm trying to find room for.

Fj cruiser all blacked out parts

My favorite feature of the car is that I got the vehicle when I was 14, I’m 16 now, and I worked around the clock after school buying and installing all the parts my self. My dad bought the car for me used at 130,000 miles in the stock red/white color. I payed a paint shop to paint it all black then built up the cruiser from there. It took 2 years but now I’m satisfied and happy with the outcome of my 2008 fj cruiser.

I love my FJ! It was the last 2014 for sale in Ontario Canada that year. My wife and I went to Montreal to the Canadian Open and our 2011 got stolen from the hotel. F### we loved that truck. Now we have the this AWESOME 2014TT o_Oo_O and we are now where we can enjoy it in the interior of British Columbia. We like this FJ so much we shipped it on a train,
we didn't want to put the mileage on it on open pavement. Now at 83569kms and 7 years old.
Now it's time for the mods to start as it's out of warranty. WOOHOO!!!

This is my 08' Fj Base. Recently broke it in driving to Charleston for the weekend. Has everything that isn't sandstorm blacked out, making it's appearance astonishingly more aggressive. Was in Cali/Colorado, now with me in Upstate, SC. Looking to throw on a cat back, TRD SuperCharger, and then some descent bumpers/lights down the road. Sitting on some meaty all terrains and TRD wheels. I've already had the spare wheel cover stolen and now missing the passenger side glass mirror, tangible items at least. LMK what you think, ✌🤙
