Yes you can sleep in it!! Few questions:

1. Is the tent permanently on the rack?
2. Is there any room for gear on the rack with the tent tucked away?

Looks good Dom!

Welcome to the RTT club.
I had mine put on a few weeks back.

I hope to get lots of use out of this summer and many more seasons to come.

My gas mileage actually went up a tad after installing it.
I thought it would go down, but it went up.
I check my MPG every Friday when I fill up.

It might, it has a "spaceship" type of look to it.

I will check the MPG again this Friday to see what it is.

It handles great on the freeway, until it gets windy.
The FJ always got tossed around before in a strong wind once it got lifted, but I feel it more now with the hotel on top if a strong wind blows.

Looks sweet Dom!!!! now you will have the tent with the view in Mojave. :D

I am wondering how it would do in the wind though. Did it have a wind rating?

so - price? don't be shy :D

in the end , about $1500+tax for everything (the tent is normally around $1450 :D).

Thats a really good question. I havn't tried it my own yet, since when we opened it up, we were making sure everything was right and correct. Once i get a hang of it, ill probably be able to deploy it and close it up in less than 5 minutes. But honestly.. it would be much easier with two people.

I did not see a wind rating. This thing is full of all kinds of aluminum support bars. it should do fairly well.

There is quite a bit of room left up front for stuff.

So far, since my hands are to big, the tent is permanently on there. It is very difficult to to losen/tighten the bolts on the front of the rack. We had to use my brothers girlfriend to get it done.. she had to thread the bolts on by hand because we could not do it
