Does anyone know where the FJ is being assembled?
Should this have any bearing on first run vehicle quality issues?
ie~US vs Japan

the nimble fingers of small children in Japan are far better equiped to build automobiles than burley American hands.

Dude their making cars, not carpets. That's what small fingers are good for; get your child labor abuses straight :) . Actually Toyota was afraid their workers might pull a GM so they put in a bunch of robots and apparently this is their flagship plant.... hmmm.

That robot #7 looks like trouble, also #5 is just a child!

don't jump jumper! don't!

and the mexicans will soon be using texans.
Slight mod:

The japanese will soon be using mexicans in texas.

For those not in the know, Toyota is opening a Tundra plant in San Antonio.

Slight mod:
Toyota will be using all proud (non-union) Texas U.S. citizens, some of which will be of Mexican-American descent, most of which have families that have been in Texas longer than I have.

Slight mod:
all will have nimble fingers with opposable thumbs and will be able to evaluate dynamic production environment situations better than robots....and fix robots when they break.

Oh and I'm off to dinner at....you guessed it... a Mexican food restaurant.
