When I took my truck in for the 5000 check up... after sitting for a while and decided to check the progress, the service writer told me "the tech is doing the driving light recall, he's changing your lights" .... I said, 'if he is, he better put things back the way they were, toyota didn't install those, I did. I don't want the driving light recall!"
He immediately, called and told the tech not to do the recall….obviously, he hadn’t started that yet!

No harm, no foul!

I just bought a used 2010 TT. The carfax said the recall was performed

I can buy any H2 55W bulb to replace them right?

So why are there new brackets?
I bought mine used from a forum member who had the recall done and they came with the brushgruard brackets. I never used the brackets and mounted my aux lights right to the brushguard mounts. I also put Sylvania zXe H3 55w Lamps in instead of the 35w.

They are H3 bulbs and yes you can replace them.

Some parts suppliers don't know (or pretend not to know) about the recall. Get the 55W ones while you can. I just ordered mine.
