Best place to order a Gobi Ranger?

Call Larry at Dirty Parts. Good service and price. Got my Stealth today and can't wait to get it installed.

Bought mine from Larry and as usual I was very pleased. Something you should consider before ordering, is that Gobi makes custom racks. Consider the size of the front lights you will be mounting, do you need more room than the stock height will allow? Need some extra tabs for additional lights. Gobi will do just about anything you can think of. It will cost a bit more and take longer but you will get exactly what you want. Just tell Larry what you need.

Thanks for the info, I was not aware that Gobi would do custom orders. I am not sure on light size on the front of the rack just yet. I will get a hold of Larry.

Just a side note. Someone ordered a rack from Larry that allowed for those giant 240mm LightForce lights. You can also call Tim at Gobi and ask him about any innovations or special requests they have received. That might give you some ideas.

Many times, you can actually get a better deal from the retailers than Gobi. Gobi protects there dealers and will not undercut them on price. Unless you live in Colorado near Gobi and can pick up your rack and avoid the shipping cost your better of buying from a respected retailer near you.

Be prepared for a very large box when you pick up your rack. You'll need a truck or have to install/have it installed or strap it to the roof of your FJ.

Final note:

I love Gobi, support there product and Tim is great rep for them. I also want to support my local off-road shop and see them survive these tough economic times. Larry/Dirty Parts supports the local off-road scene often times paying for camping fees at group events, giving away product at raffles and offering tons of free advice on numerous forums. Support your local shop.:rocker:

Unfortunately we don't feel as comfortable with our local shops...and by chance am fortunate enough to live close to Gobi. They did a great job with everything.

Lucky you! Agreed, Gobi is top notch! Is Tim still driving that damn Hummer around? :lol:

Yep last I heard the whole Hummer/Gobi crew is going on an Expedition out by Grand Junction. We really wanted to go..but haven't been in contact with him lately.
