What's your preferred safety/recovery cutting tool and why?

Wow....when I read the title, I thought it was about what you have on your roof rack!! I was about to say "I want a chainsaw on my roofrack" and then I remembered I don't have a roofrack....
I am sure Mudd can mount one for you some were. :D

ya, they have the Yakama roof rack, but I just don't like it....it's not aerodynamic!! (har har har......Like it would matter!)

I carry and axe, a bow saw and a hacket.

said axe mostly because it mounts in quick-fist easily and if sharp can be very effective while also dangerous.

I also carry a hand saw....actually is for my hunting backpack for limbing trees, cutting firewood for emergencies, or cutting through big game to quarter and pack them out since I usually hunt alone far off the road.

I would also include a good heavy d-handled shovel or a military style entrenching tool at a minimum...or both.

I carry an Axe and small bow saw both are easy
to pack and very versatile.
