I was looking at some lightweight bumper options for the FJ and this popped up.

If you like it, just try and call them for a realistic lead time and pay with PayPal / Credit Card. If they are really worth their salt they wont charge until its built / only charge a deposit.

After seeing threads about fab shops "stealing" hundreds of thousands of dollars from people lately it can be concerning...even if the guys are "car guys" / friends / part of community and all that. They might be too new to be the next Explore Overland, but just CYA.

You might consider Aluminum if weight is the concern.

I just installed my Hefty Fabworks aluminum front bumper. It took 6 months to get it, but well worth the wait. It only weighs 45 pounds and I weighed the plastic bumper parts and steel actual bumper behind the plastic and all those parts weigh about 29.6 pounds, so I think the net gain in weight is only about 16 pounds. They are not cheap, but wait for one of their sales. They seem to give 10% off. If you live in the Colorado area you can save shipping.
