I was just doing regular maintenance on my FJ- did an oil change, changed the engine air filter, and I decided It was time to change the cabin air filter as well. The old one was filthy. Got a regular one, nothing fancy, from Advance Auto. put it in and now when I crank on the air, I'm getting a super weird sound, like a high pitched vibration. Definitely sounds like something is just getting vibrated when the fan blows, but when I pulled the filter back out to check it, everything seems fine and normal. Any ideas? The sound is super annoying lol.

Possible the filter is a smidge small and vibrates/flaps when the fan is on?

That was my experience . Remove the filter again and try and find a vacuum attachment small and flexible enough to clean that all out.
