Hello All,

I'm trying to swap out my turn signal flasher relay.

I read the thread about having to un-snap the fuse box cover (covers the circuit board) uder the dash in order to lower the cover down on which the turn signal relay is attached.

Then the turn signal relay wiring plug can be removed and the relay removed from the cover.

Does anyone have anymore advise on where to unsnap the cover so it comes off with breaking?

Are there tabs to be released somewhere?

Also...can the wire plug in the relay be released by squeezing a tab somehow?

Picture of cover shown below...

Thank you...!

Already read it but thank you.

It doesn’t really say how to get the panel off other than prying and a screwdriver.

I’m looking for more info on getting the panel off without breaking the tabs.

I got lazy and took the easy way out. Just reach up, unplug the relay and leave the stock one mounted where it is. Plug the new relay into the harness and zip tie it to something solid. 7+ years like that, no issues. If the relay ever craps out, the stock one is still mounted and ready to be plugged back in. Still one of the best mods I've done to the FJ.

Good luck removing the cover.
