The one regret many attendees had last year was not having a CB radio. An inexpensive, but nearly-crucial item to bring along to truly enjoy the trail runs.
Okay call me a noob, but why is a CB radio so much better when you can use a hand held two way and they don't have to be installed?

I mean, unlike Bluetooth, CBs aren't hands free are they?

Just curious, as we use the little hand helds when training for S&R, but I have never actually owned a CB radio.

LOL....I thought those were for long haul truckers. So I would have probably been a noob without a CB. :)

A CB is used for more than trail runs, When on the road they are great for getting road reports, local information even the hotty coming up the hammer lane. I wouldn't travel without one.

Well NOW THAT YOU EXPLAIN IT THAT WAY.....I am almost positive my other half will want to install one.

Although, I truly believe he already has that specific radar thingy (and the one that is top of the line, and very sensitive, as he sees them WAY in advance and everywhere he goes) built in.

I think one of the main reasons to have a CB is to be able to communicate with everyone on the trail and in the convoy. Otherwise if you just have an FRS you need to rely on someone else with both to relay the info to you.

You also miss out on alot of interesting chatter/bantering going on. ALL FUN!!! :bigthumb:
