Howdy all! I have an 08 with the 6 speed manual. Just over 150k on the clock and my throw out bearing is screaming. I’m trying to decide if I should go oem of aftermarket on the replacement clutch bits. Any one have an opinion either way? Thank you in advance for any input!

I went stock, everything including the pilot bearing, pressure plate, disc. At the time I did mine somebody was selling heavier flywheels. I thought about, was going to buy it but it was not in stock. I do not think it would have mattered much. For peace of mind next time I want to change the rod out of the slave cylinder. I felt the stock clutch gave me everything it was supposed to and I did abuse it for a while with 35’s and stock gearing.

However, regarding the throw out bearing, Clutch Masters has this very interesting internal hydraulic design that should fundamentally avoid the bearing noise issue some have suffered with:
