Thanks! I tapped it to the ignition wire using a military splice so it works. I really want the add a fuse to work for other things. I think the fuse was in the wrong slot, meaning not the slot in line w the wire. I will also try flipping em. That's awesome advice thanks!
Drill into the door then feed it through the rubber tube into the body.
Grommet at Autozone/Advsnced/OReillys/Napa.
Make it a tight fit for the cable... never a leak on mine.
I got the cable all the way to the drivers side floor board.
I need to find some examples of where & how to mount the antenna port.
It got too hot in the mid day sun. Taking a break for now...
Thanks for the help.
:-D
I never suggest cutting the door conduit. Just say no!
What I normally do, Wil is to go under the drivers seat right alone where the under seat vent is. That will allow you to bring the coax into the center console area. That gives you a ton of options for where to bring the coax out to connect to the radio. For the one like you purchased, a lot of people bring it out at the right front corner of the center console. That way when you are not using it, you can tuck it back out of the way and hide it.
I made my own mount incorporated into my Jerry can rack.
Here is how my cable is brought into the door.. from there it exits into the jack compartment via the rubber boot.

Nick, I wish I had seen that page on your website... don't know how I missed it.
I'm not opposed to pulling it all out again and drill the door properly.
Can I get the spray sealent and seal where I cut the conduit? Would anything help seal the cut I made?
Nick or Ohiobenz, do you have a photo or an example of how the last coax connector is mounted to the center console?
I was looking at the connectors and was trying to figure if a sturdy plastic washer would help hold them in place.
I got the cable routed to the wheel well in the hot sun the other day, but I like the console Idea better.

Most people don't mount that one. They just let it come out from the bottom right of the console. To mount it, we'll have to get you a double female adapter. If you want to do that, let me know and I'll send you one.
Thanks everybody for all of the helpful information.
I installed the Bandi Mount, Cobra 75WXST, and additional 12V outlet last weekend.
I took my time following all of the instructions and I am very pleased with the results. I did notice a little wind noise from the antenna, but not too bad.:boohoo:
Here are the pics:
I have purchased the Cobra75 set including Bandi mount and antenna from Right Channel Radios for the FJ Cruiser. Looking to have the CB installed. Any suggestions? Any member can help with installation. I am in Torrance in Los Angeles. Thanks.
