So I splasch through a puddle or ten tonight on the way home and my headlights went hyper tarded. one of em was on, then the other was out, after that I got this flicker flicker for a few minutes then nada. driving on offroad lights. Wondering if I got water in the bulb housing mixed with the close to freezing weather, or if something in the ballasts got wet. either way it blows. never had an issue before and have been through many water crossings. Ideas??:mecry:

I just had to see what your definition of glitcy was. My guess is moisture, I doubt that the temperature has anything to do with it.

On a buddy's rig, turned out the connectors/harnesses were the weak point. I'd go through all of them and dry them out. Pull the fuses as well and hope it resets. Just hope it's something simple!

had a premonition tonight, My dual battery switch light doesn't light up green and I have the power wires running to the second battery. I think the charge went dead because my 2 7" bumper mounted HID's are doing the same thing on that circuit, but the roof rack HID's are fine. ugg. I hate electrical probs. And I'm an aircraft electrician. Who in the world wants to do thier job after they get off work, 'cept for maybe porn stars.
