I just wanted to start a thread to post upcoming events for Cumberland Cruisers. We are a "Middle Tennessee" group, but we are open to anyone who wants to come to the get togethers. We have a Facebook page, but some people don't do Facebook, and we want to have as many people join as possible.

We have a monthly Happy Hour/Dinner that is currently moving around the Nashville Region, we'd love to have anyone come join there as well. I'll post those here too.

We are planning a trip to Woolys Off-Road on Sunday Sept 27th at 8 am. If anyone in the area is interested, just post here or send me a PM and I'll make sure you get the final details about meeting place and such.

Do you know the date of the next Happy Hour? I'm in town a few weeks a month until I move, usually just M-F, but would be down for meeting up.

Yes, so its always the first Thursday of the month. The location changes to accommodate people who live in different parts of the region but will always be near Nashville. So, the next meeting will be Thursday Oct 1st, at Martins BBQ in Mount Juliet (NOTE: this is the one in MT Juliet, East on I-40) at 7pm. At this time the location is subject to change, but I will post when its been finalized.

This thread right here. I am going to try to keep everything posted in here. I don't know what it takes to get our own sub-forum, but if we get enough members I will try to petition the powers that be

The next event is Thursday meet-greet in Mt Juliet posted above. We plan to discuss a couple upcoming trail rides and I will be sure to post it here and may even start new threads for each just to make sure everyone sees the events

No worries man, I can definitely understand why you avoid FB, its a plague sometimes. I'm just glad the group is growing and people have interest.

Ditto! :rocker:
Codger, what part of TN are you in? You don't have to give specific town if you don't want, but "in the vicinity of"

Hi Lumber_Jack,

Thanks for asking. I reside in Putnam Co. I have a '12 FJC that I've done a few things to and soon planning more. If I were a bit more savvy on this forum stuff I'd set up my garage and pics and all the normal stuff everyone seems to do. LOL :mecry:

Cool, you're pretty close to most of us then. I've spent a lot of time in your area over the years doing Forestry work. We are planning to try to get some runs on the plateau and East as well.

Hope your meeting last night had a good turn out.

I'm always game for riding trails. I also have a 40 which is what I usually take to the parks such as Windrock, but want to explore some new areas in East Tn with the FJC along with other FJC owners.

You wouldn't happen to work with TN Div of Forestry? I've got a buddy who works the counties north of me. Might get some good ideas of trails worthy of riding.

It was good, we are going to plan an East TN ride in December. We don't discriminate, if you have a 40 you wanna drive, by all means.

I do work for TDF, I am the State Forest Program Specialist, so I deal almost exclusively with State owned property. I've only been in this position for about 2 months, so I am sure there are guys out there in the division who have some trails that would be good

Lumber_Jack,

Congratulations on your recent promotion within the TDF. BTW I like the new avatar; is that a suppressor attached to the barrel?

I'll stay abreast of this forum and watch for upcoming ride schedules. Hopefully I can join you in Dec. If you're passing through Cookeville some time, please give me a heads-up and I'll spring for lunch.

South Tatum Creek/Tennessee Dirt Devil

Sunday Nov 15th @ 10am CDT

Meeting at

East Hickman Elementary School
5191 HWY 100,
Lyles, TN 37098

South Tatum Creek and the Tennessee Dirt Devil is a series of county roads that are barely maintained. Nothing serious just and opportunity to get out and drive the rural countryside with some fellow FJers. Plenty of creek crossings and dirt. Route will be about 50 miles. I have GPX files with the route info as well as PDF maps of the route.

Anyone wanting info, just ask or email
