What if I want my yellow FJ to be RED?? I'm looking for opinions on custom paint jobs for my cruiser.. 1st will it look like crap or will it be as nice as my original paint job? I have seen FJ's in red before in magazines and it looks great.. 2nd where do I get it done? I have never looked into painting my car before and I'm assuming Maaco isn't the place haha so any opinions or info would be great THANKS!

You can get some really nice paint jobs if you are willing to spend the money. To beat factory, you'll have to spend at least $4k imho. No, Maaco isn't the place...

I agree, you will need to spend some cash to have it done right. I would suggest photoshopping a pic to try and ensure you will like the color. Will you do the inside, too, so it matches? Also, it is my understanding that any color other than the original lowers the value of a vehicle. Personally I wouldn't worry about that because I have NO plans to get rid of my FJ...ever.

What trim are you referring to? All of the plastic on the outside?
