It's not that I don't love little badges cluttering up the back of the FJ, but they are going :D

So far I already cleaned off the left side, and i'm moving to the right after I post this.

I know what you mean. Did the same to my TRD-SE. Saving them for the outside change I ever sell it.
here's a little pic of the left side debadge

and here's a little cell phone pic of the afterwords

I only left on the FJ, I may take it off later, but i'll just leave it on for now.

Also with the trail team badge for sale, i'm sorry but i was planning on keeping it. I'm thinking about putting it on whatever new bumper front or rear that i will get eventually.. not that the mod bug bit me or anything.. cough..

I just did mine today actually. There are four bolts, and four snap tabs on the top. Just give it a good pull after removing the bolts and it comes right off. Sand it, tack cloth it, adhesion promoter, 3 coats of flat black, done.

wow thanks that is extremely helpful, i'd do it tonight but im swamped with work, and my dad needs the fj over the weekend so it might have to wait. damn you fj forums by providing me with a perfect way to procrastinate!

ACTUALLY, you remove it from the FJ and it is fine to drive without it. So your dad can still take it while you paint/ let it dry. And procrastinating would be not doing something, last time i checked, you would be painting, therefore, working

SO what are you waiting for.:bigthumb:
waiting for it to get home, papas out for a beer and cigar.
If you can still get to an Autozone, pick up some sand paper, and then i have used and will continue to use duplicolor clear adhesion promoter (2coats) and the 3-5 coats of krylon fusion (for plastics) in flat black. This is what i have used for all the pieces i have painted black. Post some pics when you get done.
k, texted him a little errand on his way home :D

wait, isn't the tow hitch metal? krylon still work and hold up good?

answered my own questions it's plastic, autozone was closed, i'll post up pics when i get to it, maybe this weekend i'm hoping for sunday
