After 3,000 miles of listening to a very annoying "gronking" noise coming from the passenger side rear seat (especially when someone was sitting in the seat), I have found the issue and wondered if anyone else has seen this. Turns out the up position latch was mis-aligned such that the latch mechanism in the seat was rubbing badly against its mating loop on the bottom side. Metal was actualy being displaced and you hear and feel the grinding when you slowly engaged/disengaged the seat. To correct just give the loop a whack from the bottom with a 16 oz ball peen and listen again when latching, fixed my problem but I am still annoyed....when will Hillary go away?

If hitting it moved it, then you may have a screw that is not torqued down behind that plastic.
