I'm in the process of installing my doug thorley LT headers and I can't seem to get the stock header off, I've got all nuts removed on the manifold and the cat assembly except the bolt that attaches the mounting bracket to the bell housing. What should I do? Is that bolt required to come out for installation/removal? I can't seem to get it... By the way, I'm on the drivers side right now

I got the bolt out and the cat/ header along With the bracket out. Now I just can't seem to get the LT's in, and ideas on how to? I've thought about possibly removing the steering shaft? Or move the front drive shaft? Or somehow get the bolts out of the block? But I don't know how to get those bolts out... Any suggestions on how to get it back in?

I am about to install mine also. Check these threads out.

You can also google the installation for more ideas.

Okay well I ended up getting. The drivers side on. I ended up cutting the old header away from the cat due to not being able to access the support bracket. I got the support bracket off and couldn't get the new header in. So I unbolted the front drive shaft and it slid right up in there. I haven't gotten it attached to the exhaust yet though (I pulled it off and am cleaning out my cats) but I'm going to put the exhaust back on tomorrow and bolt up the drivers side completely!
