I would go with a mag mount antenna. I have had hard time with parking garages and antennas. The mag mount is quick and easy. They are excellent for trail runs with a lot low branches. I have 2m, HF and cb on my rig. I hope this helps.

For a dual band, I'd go Mag Mount or folding roof rack mount. As cool as that cowl mount is, it is not optimum for that antenna.

It work very well for me. This antenna is a fold over. Very ridged but will bend if you hit a low branch. I would also worry about the structural strength of the cowl mount.
