Hey all -
Has anyone mounted a dual band (UHF/VHF) antenna on the drivers side cowl (like the FM antenna is on the passenger side)?
I understand roof mounting is optimal, but drilling through the roof on my new '13 TT is just a painful thought... I'm also trying to achieve a factory installation look; don't want to worry about height for parking garages, etc.
Any concerns/input about ground plane if cowl mounted? Recommendations on mounts? Types of antennas? Any insights much appreciated.
