Definitely more of a street design as opposed to an offroad design. If this system could be designed to tuck out the side of the rear wheel I might be interested. There is someone on the forum that has done it already.

My recommendation for 4x4 off road capability is trd cat back out the side or this side dual system.

I had one of the Trail Team guys tell me that these get whacked more than the stock exhaust pipes do; and as much as the stock ones get tagged off-road, that would worry me if I was concerned about exhaust damage (which I'm not).

What is the exhaust design like?

is it a true dual exhaust that utilizes a x or h pipe for balancing or is
it just a y pipe with twin exhaust tips?
The Borla starts right behind the CAT and comes straight back to the new resonator then goes back to the single Borla Muffler which has two pipes coming off it and they exit on opposite ends at the reat of the FJ. The new pics are posted on the 2nd page of this thread and will be up on our site shortly. The sound is deep and throaty and sounds a lot better than the stock setup. We'll have a video in a couple of days.

Looks very nice. Wish I could hear it. Whats the dif. between this and the other TRD exhaust. (looks not ws)
We're working on a video or at least a sound clip and we hope to have that tomorrow. As far as differences, this is a dual exhaust, versus a single. It is a Borla Exhaust rather than TRD, has a great subtle sound, better air flow, and we're expecting that it will have better HP gains, although we don't have dyno's to prove that. So far, it's just an estimate.
