So I bought a 12 volt electric wolo horn. The instructions say put the red wire on a 12v source. Can I put it directly to my car batterys red input?. 08 fj btw

'Directly' usually means no fuse, so no, you want to have at least a fuse in line.

Next to that, it depends on how you want the horn to work. The factory horn has a relay and a 10A Fuse which should be plenty to power the wolo.

The factory horn should have one GRAY/BLK wire, which should be power and thats it. It grounds itself though the bolt.

if I remember correctly, the 08 is prewired for an extra horn. It is in the wiring harness running along the passenger-side inner fender well. There are some pics here on the site. Search for horn install. We did it on opie's TT several years ago. It was plug and play.
