Install was pretty straight forward.

Couple of things not spelled out clearly in the instruction manual:

Once you get the FJ bumper and the parts explained in the instruction manual off, you also have to take off the bumper extensions that are mounted to the frame with 4 bolts each - this part was left out of the instructions. Also, I suggest mounting the bumper by the three bolts that originally held said extensions on (the fourth bolt referred to above is not used in this step) and leave the nuts loose. Mount the frame support brackets, and once you get the bumper on on, tighten the two brass bolts to the frame support brackets and align the bumper before tightening the bolts originally used to hold the extensions on.

Steps outlined above are meant to supplement the instruction manual and is not a replacement. By themselves the instructions are pretty good - include the above and you will be good to go. You will see where there is a discrepancy in the instructions - just follow the above.

I ordered the Expedition One Bull Bar bumper, but left off the top loop.

Looks good Bjorn! I just noticed you don't have the mirror lights. I thought that was a myth.

No, this is a base model - no mirror lights, no DLR, no extras, other than what I put on myself.

Thanks!

Thanks - as far as weight - shipping label mentioned 125 lbs for the bumper itself. I have a Warn 8000 with synthetic rope as well. With the OME heavy front springs the truck does not feel nose heavy - actually feels just about right.
