Hi folks,

Usually CBs have their speakers in their microphones, and sometimes people
figure out that it is better to use an external speaker as the one in the
microphone isn't always as good. Right?

Now, what I'm talking about is completely different: I wan an external speaker
that I put outside of my car over its roof, so that I can talk to external
people. Similar to police cars.

What I really hope is a setup like this:
- A speaker fixed on my roof, pointing forward.
- A microphone inside the driving cabin.
- And since I'll be having a CB, it would be nice if the microphone that is
used for the external on-roof speaker is the same microphone that I use for the CB.
So that I don't end up having two separate microphones for each.

I am currently struggling to find a workable plan. Your input means a lot.

Regards,
-Max

Get a CB with a PA feature...

And, no the speaker is not "usually" inside the mic on most CBs, it is only like that on that one particular Cobra, and the Midland convertible..

CB with a PA speaker is the way to go.

Mount the PA speaker wherever you want, most are waterproof.

Mine is mounted in the engine bat by the radiator.
