I finally had a chance to takes some pics with my new Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/75/16. I just luv the way these tires look and they are somewhat beefier then my 265/75/16.

The ride was pretty rough at at 50psi, I had the tire place lowered them to 45psi and it made a big difference in ride comfort. There is a little more road noise then the 265 but that was to be expected. I haven't gone off-roading with them yet but that will change in a week.

With the 3" lift and bigger tires, I still have 1" clearance on my garage which is 82" tall...that a was big relief.

Here are some pics...enjoy!

Nice pics!
The tires look SWEET on the FJ!!!:rocker::cheers:
I really enjoyed my Nitto TG's, very good tire.

Looks nice, I am torn on the BSW look. I like the BSW, but I also like to raised white letter look too.
Hey it's looking good. Why do you like to run the Tire pressure so high? I think I do 35front and 32rears with my 285 75 16 Procomp ATs. Anyway your TT looks nice.

Looking good.
I run mine in low 40s on highway.....compromise between mileage and ride quality. Ride better in 36# range but better mileage at 42#......anything higher is too squirrely and bouncy......anything lower kills mileage terribly.
Looks great 'Cong!
Looking good! Are those reservoir brackets the ones they sent you? If so I need to call and get those!

Thanks for posting my pic, I had issues posting the photo. As for the pressure, the tire place recommend 50 but that was way too high so he suggested 45. I would prefer to stay at 40psi for overall performance and gas saving.

Those are the reservoir brackets that came with Fox 2.0. You should call them up and get the set, people can clearly see the reservoir at that position.
Those are not the 2.5? I thought the 2.0 reservoir mounted on top. Looks good though. I like the way it looks. The fox label is upside down that would drive me crazy.

I guess 2.0 and 2.5 are going to be mounted on the side which is a lot better then the top. That's driving me crazy as well and that's why I'm going to do the swap tomorrow.
I rode in my buddys fj which has the 2.0 and they are saweet. Im sold. Saving my pennies to buy em.

Good lookin rig

Are the TRD trims 16x7 or 16x7.5

Eventually, i want to run the same set up, Fox coils on 285/75/16 M/T's, but BFG recomends a 7.5" wheel minimum and the OEM 16" off road alloys are 7's.

Have you sad any problems wheel'n with them or when you air down?

BTW, great looking ride. I almost picked up a TTE FJ, but the dealer wanted full market price for a demo FJ with 5000 miles on it....whatever....ended up going to Longo.

Thanks!

John
Hey guys...Does your front tires rub the mud flap a little when you turn your wheels all the way? Mine barely rub but you can hear the noise.
Cong, Where'd U Get Ur Tires From And How Much If You Don't Mind? I'm In The Long Beach Area And Was Looking For Some Good Deals On Nitto's. Thanks.
Nice Pics! I'm also considering these tires; if I can ever decide on what lift to install???
