I liked the look of the plastic flares removed, but I just could not leave it how everyone was, with holes and gap's showing. If your going to remove them I figured, why not make it look factory. I have a lot more planed but that will come with time and money. Here is a start. . .

Original and solid!
Pics of the beverage holders?
Very nice. Good Job. Diggin on the rims and tires. I like how you finished off the black lower peices after removing the fenders. Can you tell us how that was done. fitting the removed peices back in to look stock. Thanks.

Layer's and layer's of hand molded Fiberglass, I was going to post write-up later in the Visual Mod Threads.
I forgot to mention, I plan on painting all the exterior silver and the wheel's flat black. It is winter now, so I might as well hold off until spring for that. I will be going to get some action shot's this saturday.

Here is some more photo's I took on my lunch hour while at work (at least I could take them outside, couldnt get a wide shot in my garage) Showing it more with the flare's removed and moded cover's. *Will post action shot's with new mod's on Saturday, and more to come*

I could not resist posting this photo that JIM took at my first NWFJCC meet in Stevenson. I did not have the mod's yet, but still an awsome shot. . .

Looking real nice. I like those tires and rims too. The tires look like they give awesome foul weather traction. Nice job.
Sweet rig. Nice up grades....
Nice looking rig!
Nice rig. I love the sandstorm, and I think that is what I'm going to get.
To me it's the best wheel and tire combo I've seen. It's a combination performance car look with the nastiness of the M/T lugs. I always wished the offroad crowd would embrace that setup for the functional benefits as well as looks.

You are getting way better handling responsiveness with the low profile and you have still got M/T grip. You are not really sacrificing anything but a little squishiness on the trail. Big deal - you have better control.

I got weird looks for having 18's - which I need because of my calipers. People just can't believe you can wheel without 16's; that's fine if you want to handle like crap I guess...
nice pics
SHAWEET!!!!!!!!:) Keep up the good work!

Thank's Air2Air, it means's a lot coming from you (you my friend, have the best build here). I defiantly agree with you on the tire handling situation, but the off-road crowd embrace it , doubt it. They have no idea, (some are pretty thick headed) and just assume that it has no capability's. On the run yesterday, there was some slippery sh*t. There was 1 other FJ and 1 Tacoma (FJ had stock wheels/tires, Tacoma had 16" Wheel's with 33" M/T's slightly aired down) On the worst hill we did, Tacoma made it, I made it (no air down at all), other FJ did not (just because of tires). I am more comparing it to the Tacoma since he had the "Off-roader's ideal tire/wheel combo" He was blown away by there capability's. I know it might not be the best for serious rock crawling, but not much of that here. Mainly sand, mud, clay, and snow in Eastern WA, it is all desert.
Yeah thanks man. Honestly I would do your exact same combo. I think it looks the best and it works the best for the kind of wheeling you and I do. I don't do mud or rock gardens.

The stigma we are fighting against here is not our fault; it's the Hummer H2. I have to admit, my vanity prevents me from anything that could possibly be mistaken for a connection with the H2. And unfortunately, their bling disease spread into the low-profile wheel/tire combo.

So I am fighting against myself here wanting your combo. Guess I am too hung up on what others think and should get over it.
Nice ride!
