Did you ever find a good mechanic? My mechanic in alameda is solid but not FJ focused. Would love to find someone who is so please let me know. Thanks

Haven't found one. I think I came across a post saying Japan Auto Service in San Bruno, but haven't reached out yet. I think I'm going to try to do most things myself anyway. If I do talk to them, I'll lyk what happens.

Give A+ Japanese Auto Repair in San Carlos a call. They aren’t cheap, but they do good work. They’ve been servicing my FJ, 4R, and TC for the past couple of years. Zero issues so far.
