Hey everybody,
I just got an email from Toyota. It says that the FJ will be on display at the Off Road Expo, in Pomona, CA Oct. 8 and 9.
Here's what the email said:

See the all-new FJ Cruiser center stage at Off Road Expo® 2005 in Pomona, one of the most exciting events of the year for the off-road industry. This is a chance for off-roaders to meet face-to-face with the innovative minds behind many of the products that are on the market today, and many that are still in early creative stages.

Also making appearances will be:
The FJ 40 that won the 1973 Baja 500, provided by Specter Off-Road, Inc.
Ivan "Ironman" Stewart, a legend in off-road racing, and his super-tough Tundra
Johnny Greaves' CORR Tundra
Admission:
$12.00 for ages 12 and over
FREE for children under 12
Show Dates at Pomona's Fairplex:
Saturday, October 8th, 9:00 - 6:00pm
Sunday, October 9th, 9:00 - 5:00pm
Visit www.offroadexpo.com for more info.

I'm already planning to attend, I'll snap some video if they let me!

Man, they never do anything cool like that on the east coast. I would love to go to an off-road expo. For $12, thats a great price to get a good look at the FJ.

Part of the reason they have these events here (Southern California), is that the majority of the aftermarket manufacturers are headquartered here. Also the largest consumer base of hardcore offroaders is in the Southwest and Baja.

This event proves that Toyota is working with the Aftermaket guys to turn the FJ into a serious offroad tool. awesome.
