Not mine...it belongs to a good buddy of mine. Also, I am not a fan of the tire on the Rack...I am not what you would call muscular, so I would need some sort of pulley system to get it up or down.

FWIW, that is the rack I am TRYING to get made for the FJ (or just for my FJ if nothing else). Probably without tire mount...just a full rack.

I agree....ugly as crap.

they may be ugly, but you can haul a lot more stuff in one of those than the factory one. and its will be much easier to secure the load, making it safer to boot.

I think they look cool, but i have a penchant for ugly vehicles too so you may want to disregard my opinion on the ascetics of vehicles.

On the cheap side, I used one of these Safari Roof racks on my FJZ80 for a number of years. I got a lot of use out of it, and some compliments too. It's aluminum so not as strong, nor heavy as the beefier steel products.

And Shaggy, I'd be interested in one of those Gobi Racks too, if they come in at the price point you mentioned. Their Hummer roof racks are too pricey for me.
