Is it just me or do alot of people with FJ's have an attitude? Or is it the FJ's with all the mods that have an attitude? I dont know but I do feel a sense of superiority when I get behind the wheel.

I've noticed that the owners who take pride in modding have the attitude of dominance, confidence and overall superiority! :rocker: The rest of the mall crawlers are arrogant stuck up snobbs

To me its all about being out and getting a chance to meet great new peeps that share the same passion you do.It doesnt matter how many mods you have it's all about the cool personality everyone has in the 4x4 community:

I think that any who drive anything different than an FJ just plain SUCK!!! :worried:

...but I don't have any 'tude to speak of :worried:

ok, maybe I do.

Just kidding, too.

Off-road comraderie is huge. I wave at anybody on the road who even closely resembles one who goes off-road regardless of rig manufacturer. :)

Especially the "pre-runnered out" F150's with Metal Mulisha stickers. That is just plain silly....and stoopid. I can understand a Ranger, but a full-size F150? REALLY?? Well, it's their money....

Wait til you drive up beside an H3 that looks like it got stuck in the Chrome Corner at school once too often and then tell me you don't have just an itsy bitsy bit of attitude????

Best part is when they try and pull away from you......lol....CUZ THEY CAN'T!!!!!!

Ok that is enough attitude acknowledgement for one day......Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.....

You know what? It seems that the modded (is that a word?) owners are the ones that give a thumbs up, nod or wave. Maybe it's because I am one of them too? Just today a stock VB pulled up next to me and I looekd over to to wave and roll down my window to give him a Volhoo So Cal decal but as I started all of this the dude looked away. Was he intimidated by the lift and 33's? Maybe the nice Hi Lift Jack scared him? Oh it must have been all the decals. Anyway, maybe the stockers are intimidated? When I was stock I waved at every FJ I saw. No discrimination here. No color line:wave:s.

My FJ is not nearly as modded out as most of those who have commented here (not yet at least) but I can see how a stocker may be a lil intimidated by some of you guys... I remember parkin my FJ next to Dragons and felt like my FJ was pullin a Waynes world "Im not worthy!! Im not worthy!!"

But I do understand where the attitude comes from :rocker: You touch my truck I kill you!!! but that comes from love :)

I'm proud of my FJ but I don't think it has given me a superiority complex. No need for attitude plus there are always bigger fish.

I wish the random stock FJCs I see were more friendly though.

After a Mojave Run, my rig was all dirty and I parked next to a BD FJC. It had a self leveling rear cuz I could hear the compressor. I really wanted to talk to the owner and ask about it. He came out and never gave me eye contact....but his girl did. Oh well.....

There are so many people from different walks of life that bought FJs. Not everyone that bought an FJ is into wheeling, nor are they a car fanatic like we are (at least I am!). Tehy are like anyone else out there driving a Honda, Subaru, Chevy, etc. They are driving the truck not for what it can do, but because they thought it looked cool, their crap fits in it, or they can sleep in it.

When was the last time you saw a guy in a Ford Escort wave at another Escort driver? Or, for that matter, when did you see one even look at the FJ?

It is simple logic that states mostly modded FJs will wave at other FJs. For we are the ones who are into the FJ and are fanatical about it. We are the ones that are into wheeling, and love it...no matter what the other wheelers drive.

My rig looks mostly stock, but it's a far cry from where it was a year ago when I first bought it. Wave....I'll reciprocate!
