I am in the middle of my Bilstein 5100 install (front) and am wondering if the clocking of the spring really matters as long as it is seated properly. I have searched high and low on this site, youtube, etc. to no avail. Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

Roger, thanks. The top rubber bushing doesn't look like it has a specific "seat," but the bottom one on the shock itself is pretty obvious.

JUst seat it in the perch at the bottom & you will be good to go. That is what I did 5 years ago on mine & no issues.

Done and done, the 5100s are great and the third notch leveled my FJ right up. Super easy work, especially after unbolting the track bar.
