Hey everyone, for a while now I had been getting the P0453 (small evap leak), and no matter what I did with the gas cap, it kept coming back.
Finally I decided to replace the rubber gasket on the neck of the cap, and after resetting the code, it hasn't come back for 2 weeks now.
So if you're struggling with this code, check your gasket, could be the culprit.

awesome news!

If I recall correctly, Toyota recommends replacing it frequently, like every year or 2 years or something. Seems like every 5 or 10 years is more like what it really needs.
