Like most of us i go off-road a lot i have lots of racing stripes if you know what i mean. Anyway since im getting her repainted any suggestions to reinforce against bushes. Its my understanding that Toyota has clearcoat issues mine does anyway that may be just a rumor though. The paint shop will sand and apply several coats of paint and clear-coat. I heard somewhere there was a special coating To help prevent scratches? Im doing away with the silver wings on the bumper gonna get them painted grape like the body.

No such thing as a scratch resistant coating. Unless you are talking about using Pam to stop the bugs from sticking to your grill. I’m going with an Avery textured wrap. Have a couple of 1’ x 1’ squares on the hood for testing.

Racing Stripes?🙄 I think you mean "Rocky Mountain Pin Stripes".😆
As far as Toyota paint, its very easy to polish out most "Pin Stripes" that aren't down to the primer.
Other than Rhino lining the body panels or staying off of narrow trails, no paint "coating" can protect ya from thorn bushes.
Wraps will tear open and peel off in the right condition
This guy polished his Pin Stripes out with Ease
