Hi,

I am a new owner of 2011 FJ Crusier. I have noticed that the H2/H4 shifting stick is trembling at a very noticeable vibration rate. (Compare to the auto-transmission shift stick)

Is this normal? or should I take it back to the dearler to have them check it out?

Thanks in advance.

The reason it vibrates is because it is connected directly to the transfer case, where as the transmission shifter is just a link, but it is body mounted.

In other words, it is normal.

think of it as a hand massager if you had a hard day at work

seems normal to me. At your next scheduled service make mention of it and have them check it out. If it's nothing then "no worries" but at least you have it noted on the service record.

What he said. Vibrates for the same reason a manual shifter vibrates.
