I made a half drawer to keep most of the cargo area free for loading camping gear, snowboards, bike, and so on. This way I wouldn't have to take the drawer system out to gain more room. Most of my recovery gear fit in a small Rubbermaid action packer. Then I just needed to mount an electric cooler on top. Still a work in progress. I was in a rush to have it working for a Moab trip.

Cheap electric cooler till I can afford an ARB. Added power and an on/off switch.

Ready for Moab.Still need to add a latch to keep drawer closed.

I removed the front tie down loop and replaced it with a screw from my dirtbike. Then I screwed the tie down loop to the back of the box. For now I just have 2 zip ties holding the back down. It doesn't move at all. I don't want to use carpet. Thinking about trying this spray on rubber coating that I've seen in auto parts stores or Line-X. If that doesn't work probably just paint it.

Already took 2 Moab trips with it. It's very nice having an electric cooler. No more buying ice.

You could always vinyl it. It'll take some time, but a can of rubber cement, and some nice rugged looking vinyl. Spread the rubber cement on the wood then the back of the vinyl...stick the two together, use a rolling pin, and done. Pain in the rear, bu it might look nice. I suppose I should try it when I do mine eventually.

BTW, what kind of fridge is that?

It looks interesting and your idea is a good one but you are aware that this thread is almost 3 years old...? Whom ever you may replying to could be long gone. Hopefully not but ya never know.
