Hi! I live in connecticut and own a 2008 FJ that is "Stock"
I am a volunteer fire officer in a small town, in which I have used my FJ
to rescue people out of large tracts of wooded area's that would only
be accessable to atv's. I had owned Jeeps in the past, but find
the FJ to be superior. I am trying to figure out the 265-70R-17
vs 285-70R-17 +/- deal. I don't want to lift yet. I look foward to
learning from the vast knowledge base of fine "FJ" Folks. -Jim

Hey!

If your dealing with all that mud and snow I would suggest a different size tire. The BFG KM2's come in 255/ 80 R17's which are 33.3" tall and work great in both of those environments. Best part is they dont require a BMC or a lift in order to gain the extra clearance the taller size tires provide.

Take care:cheers:
