I just installed the "Oznium" LED dome lights and since i'm all thumbs, had a couple of minor problems. At one point I pulled the fuse to check it (it wasn't blown). Eventually got it all worked out, and I'm happy with the new dome light. However, When I next started the engine I noticed the compass light is flashing; I used the owners manual to go through the reset proceedure and the compass functions when I drive, but the light continues to flash---any ideas?

Did you adjust the zone?

Did you drive in a circle?

Did you rub the dashboard ONCE with your right hand, followed by a kiss?

Did you drive in a larger circle?

Other than that, no ideas

You have to: detach it from the dash, put it in a paper bag, swing the bag around over your head five times, while clucking like a chicken, and flapping your other arm. Then reinstall. Works every time.

Don't forget to wave a rubber chicken over the ECU as you drive in a circle...

...slightly more seriously, I called the service department at the local dealer and asked them which zone *they* use when setting up the compass. It's different than what's recomended in the manual - and it works!
