Ok so I just installed a Tuffy light bar and I am planning to put four 8 inch lights across the top. Then I am just going to buy a wireless remote from pepboys and make a bracket for an external battery and put it on my roof to prevent all the wiring. Does anyone know what would be the best size battery?

4 - 8" lights draw a lot of power.

If you plan on running the lights for a long period of time your going to need a large capacity battery or dual 6v setup.
IMO not the greatest of ideas

Take it to an installer and have them run the wires for you. You'll be much happier
